Overview

Job Summary

 

The Lab Technician performs multiple tasks associated with instrument installations, maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and other tasks associated with instrument uptime and R&D productivity.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Routine and preventative maintenance on all automated instrumentation in R&D.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts as necessary on all automated instrumentation in R&D.
  • Maintain the water systems in R&D and prepare liquid solutions.
  • Order and stocks supplies and reagents.
  • Execute Verification protocols related to software and hardware design changes.
  • Escalates and communicates unresolved issues effectively.
  • Accurately documenting all installation, maintenance, and service activities in a timely manner and according to good documentation practices.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Networking/Key relationships

 

Works in cross-functional relationships with verification technologists, integration engineers, other service personnel, and external OEM partners.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Associate’s Degree. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

 

Skills & Capabilities:

 

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly; communicating data and details as needed
  • Able to work in a team environment and collaborate.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of products, services, procedures, policies, systems, and company organization as it relates to job requirements.
  • Displays PC skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other desktop functions at an intermediate level.
