Overview

Market Access Manager (INOVA Diagnostics, Inc. d/b/a Werfen Autoimmunity, San Diego, CA): On behalf of a worldwide developer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialized diagnostic instruments and reagents for Autoimmunity products and services, responsible for developing and implementing market access strategy and tactics into a continuously evolving healthcare environment. Serve as key contributor of the overall commercialization effort of new and existing Autoimmunity systems and reagents and provide guidance and support on related product development activities and collaboration with key opinion leaders.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Execute and manage product commercialization plans including clinical strategies. This includes clinical and economic value propositions, managing budget and agency spend, and insights to pipeline development and adoption of Autoimmunity solutions.
  • Define the strategic priorities for Value Selling and Health Economic deliverables associated to Autoimmunity’s key products in coordination with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Marketing Team and R&D.
  • Serve as lead on market access marketing deliverables and messaging to Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Execute and manage implementation of commercial strategies and development and execution of product commercialization plans, including clinical strategies.
  • Manage agencies, including a comprehensive resource plan and budget and executing against development and approval of new resources and budget utilization.
  • Supervise the execution of deliverables including but not limited to customer case studies, value calculators, presentations, and analysis of scientific literature.
  • Supervise clinical studies that are critical to the Health Economics and Clinical Marketing plans or to Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships in coordination with R&D and Autoimmunity’s Clinical Science Liaison(s).
  • Nurture existing relationships with global opinion leaders in autoimmune diagnostic testing and develop new relationships with individuals in areas of clinical interest.
  • All activities must comply with applicable Werfen standard operating procedures (SOPs), ISO, FDA, and other Quality Systems Regulations (QSRs), as well as applicable Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, and other regulatory and administrative policies.

Note:  This is a marketing manager position reporting to the Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Service. The position functions as a Marketing Specialist and does not have direct reports.

 

This is a hybrid position permitted to work 3 days/week from the office in San Diego, CA and 2 days/week from a home office within normal commuting distance to the San Diego, CA office.  Position requires approximately 30% domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in a Health Sciences or Life Sciences field and 2 years of experience in a marketing product management or research occupation in market access within the in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry.

 

Must also have: (I) Knowledge and deep understanding of: (a) the clinical lab environment; (b) autoimmune diagnostics; (c) healthcare study designs; (d) cost effective analysis; and (e) systematic literature review; (II) Background in the following with IVD product launches: (a) payer access strategy, marketing, payer contracting, and commercial/sales; and (b) payer market access, access marketing, and reimbursement; (III) Demonstrated ability to analyze data in the software Stata and software TreeAge Pro Healthcare; (IV) Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex insights as well as to connect commercial, financial and clinical perspectives to develop enhanced value messages, strategies, and tactics; (V) Successful track record thinking strategically, learning agilely, and delivering complex projects within tight timelines by supporting teams with cross-functional stakeholders; (VI) Must have professional marketing focused verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills to a varied audience; and (VII) Successful track record publishing healthcare related scientific papers.

 

Salary Range: $181,938 to $186,938. Individual compensation is based on the candidate’s qualifications for the position, including experience, skills, knowledge, education, certifications, internal equity, budget, and/or other business and organizational needs.
