Job Summary

 

The role is responsible for defining and implementing the worldwide marketing strategy and plans for the assigned product line. This includes developing short, medium, and long-term marketing strategies, defining objectives, policies, and programs for global marketing activities. The position involves planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts to achieve company goals and providing advice to the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing on marketing matters.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop global marketing strategies for Werfen products to enhance market share and profitability.
  • Define the product mix and manage the product life cycle for the business line.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of the Worldwide Marketing organization to achieve objectives and sales goals.
  • Promote competitive product analysis and market research to identify and assess opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive pricing and recommend changes in pricing policies, terms, and conditions of sales.
  • Oversee customer satisfaction regarding the quality and quantity of services provided.
  • Manage advertising and promotional activities.
  • Prepare and manage the department budget.
  • Facilitate communication of product information to the commercial organization, Werfen affiliates, and distributors.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental activities to ensure product quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all marketing and commercial leaders are adequately trained to perform their roles effectively.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Internal Networking/Key Relationships:

  • Regular interaction with members of Worldwide Marketing and Service, the commercial organization, R&D, Medical, RA/QA, Operations, Finance, Legal, and key opinion leaders in the relevant field.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25% of the time

Qualifications

Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the diagnostics industry as a Product Manager, Marketing Manager or Sales Manager
