Position Summary:

 

Under direction of North America Marketing, plan and manage customer educational symposia programs within a multi-functional development team. The position requires enthusiastic leadership skills in a clinical educational environment.  The individual is required to lead multi-functional marketing, sales and applications staff develop high value customer education programs which provide learning credits to participants.  The individual will lead annual programs including design and developing content through program delivery, inclusive of all associated logistical requirements.  The position requires regular interaction with project team members and upper management.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

  • Clinical and Project Leadership: Provide clinical and marketing team leadership to a project team, including program development, planning, scheduling, and clinical leadership within the project area. Drive the integration of activities between functions.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Responsible for project planning and scheduling utilizing deliverable milestone methods and critical path scheduling and developing task and project estimates.
  • Project Execution and Control: Responsible for conducting regular project team status meetings and reviews. Ensures deliverables are completed and documented.
  • Problem Solving Leadership: Responsible for coordination of project resources to identify the root cause of project issues and develop and manage a plan to fix and implement an appropriate solution through completion.
  • Risk Management: Responsible for ensuring project risks are identified and appropriate risk mitigation plans are developed and executed. Regularly assess and report the status of overall project risk.
  • Communication: Responsible for communication within project team and to marketing, sales and application upper management
  • Conflict Resolution: Able to resolve project team conflict through the application of good listening skills and negotiating skills. Able to remove oneself from the problem. Fosters creative, professional climate that will maximize the contributions of the technical staff.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinates with vendors and outside service suppliers to ensure project deliverables are completed correctly and on time or that services are provided in accordance with the plan. Responsible for all logistic requirements.

Secondary Functions:

  • Project/Program Initiatives: Participates in activities focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project development processes and procedures.

Internal Networking/Key Relationships:
To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:

  • Coordination of program with Marketing, Sales and Application Management.
  • Communication of plans and status of projects with Marketing, Sales and Application Management
  • Communicate and coordinate with Compliance to ensure adherence to all guidelines

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • Education: BS Medical Technology is preferred
  • Experience: Prior experience in a clinical education role, including training development, desirable.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Management, Compliance
  • Language: English proficiency required

International Mobility:

  • Required: No

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 15% of time
  • On-site at each annual Educational Program, target of 25 days
  • Participate in annual National Meeting and Quarterly Management Meetings
