Key Accountabilities:
Essential Functions:
- Technical and Project Leadership:
- Provide technical and team leadership to one or more small project team(s), including planning, scheduling, and technical leadership within the project area. Drive the integration of activities between functions.
- Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Responsible for project planning and scheduling utilizing deliverable milestone methods and critical path scheduling, and developing task and project estimates. Coordinate roles and responsibilities within the project team. At the Program Manager's or Director’s request provide a schedule and budget forecast for the project.
- Project Execution and Control:
- Responsible for conducting regular project team status meetings and reviews. Plan and schedule technical reviews at appropriate project milestones. Ensures deliverables are completed and documented.
- Agile Project Management (if applicable):
- Coordinate with Scrum Masters on Sprint forecasts. Track deliverables status from Sprint Demos.
- Problem Solving Leadership:
- Responsible for coordination of project resources to identify the root cause(s) of project issues, and develop and manage a plan to fix, test, and implement an appropriate solution through completion.
- Risk Management:
- Responsible for ensuring project risks, both technical risks and management risks, are identified and appropriate risk mitigation plans are developed and executed. Track and respond to risk triggers. Regularly assess and report the status of overall project risk.
- Design Control:
- Creates and maintains file to current phase ensuring accuracy.
- Communication:
- Responsible for communication within the project team and to program management and upper management. Develop and implement a project communication plan.
- Vendor Management:
- Coordinates with vendors and outside service suppliers to ensure project deliverables are completed correctly and on time or that services are provided in accordance with the project plan.
- Cross Department Collaboration:
- Participates in discussions with commercial functions (operations, regulatory, distribution, customer support, marketing, sales, service, affiliates, etc.) through established communication channels to support on market changes and/or new product introduction.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Able to identify and obtain support to resolve project team conflict. Able to remove oneself from the problem. Fosters a creative, professional climate that will maximize the contributions of the technical staff.

- Participates in activities focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development processes and procedures.
Networking/Key Relationships:

- Coordination of review of documentation with Quality and Regulatory disciplines
- Communication of product changes with Manufacturing / Operations disciplines
- Communication of plans and status of projects with Marketing disciplines
